How Laser Light Therapy Works:

A Revolutionary Approach to Natural Healing

Our laser light therapy utilizes groundbreaking variable-wavelength technology to revitalize your body's inherent healing processes. This therapy is especially beneficial for individuals who haven't found relief through traditional methods or single-wavelength therapies.

Your Body Forgot How to Heal;
Laser Light Therapy Helps It Remember

Could Laser Light Therapy Transform
Your Health?

Light therapy has be in use for over 150 years. Our new technology and approach is precise and focused,  allowing your body to choose the wavelengths it needs to jumpstart or accelerate its natural healing capabilities. Think of it as giving your cells the precise "instructions" they've been waiting for.

The Science Behind
the Healing

Laser light therapy, or photobiomodulation, emits a range of wavelengths that effectively kickstart and speed up your body's healing mechanisms. These wavelengths span across the visible spectrum (430 - 700nm) and into the invisible spectrum (800nm to 3400nm), providing a more comprehensive approach than traditional therapies.

Why Varying Wavelengths Matter

Healing is a complex process, and different stages might require different types of light. By offering a range of wavelengths, laser light therapy increases the chances that your body will respond positively, tailoring the treatment to your individual needs.

Clinical Research

  • What is the purpose of my free consultation?
    1. Consultation The initial consultation is the first step in the treatment process and can be conducted in person or over the phone. During the consultation, we will discuss your specific pain concerns, including history of pain and prior treatments you may have undergone. Based on this information, we will develop a tailored treatment plan and also answer any questions or concerns you may have. One key goal of the consultation is to ensure that your condition is a good match for our laser light therapy. 2. 1st Treatment At your first laser light therapy session, you'll want to wear loose clothing that allows us to easily reach the treatment area. We will drape you for additional privacy if needed. We will explain your personalized treatment plan and might use a cool mist to prep the area. The whole session takes about 45 minutes. During the treatment, you might feel a warm or tingly sensation – that's a good sign! It means your body is responding to the laser light. We will adjust and further personalize treatment based on how you feel to make sure it's comfortable and effective.
  • How long does each session last?
    Sessions are 30 minutes.
  • How many sessions will I need?
A vast majority of clients will need 1-3 sessions to resolve their conditions. There are special circumstances, such as extreme inflammation that might need more regular and frequent treatments but those are rare exceptions.
  • Is it working?
Everyone wants to know how long it might take to see if the therapy is "working". In seconds to minutes for some cases that were not expected to ever improve. That puzzled the anesthesiologist and neurologist advisors. They asked for more data from the feasibility studies. The real-time recordings show the crazy-fast events like a video referee. Everyone can watch the replay and make their own conclusions. The responses usually begin during the 1st or 2nd visit. Typically, 2 visits with no response or benefits are enough to suggest trying a different therapy. Inflammation may take a bit longer to observe improvements. The therapy works adjunctively to accelerate physical rehabilitation, especially after a stroke or spinal cord injury, in programs such as constraint-induced therapy. Of course, most injuries take several visits to maximize or refresh the improvements.
  • Are there side effects?
There are no known side effects of our treatment. However, some individuals have experienced some soreness in the target area for up to 24hours after treatment. Think of this as if it were a good workout, the body becomes sore because it is getting stronger.
  • Are the results guaranteed?
We do not guarantee results because each person’s body reacts differently to our treatment, much like any medical or wellness treatment. However, we have over a 90% success rate after just 3 sessions. What differentiates us is that if the treatment works, you'll know it very quickly. And if it doesn't, you'll also know very quickly, allowing us time to utilize a different treatment plan.
  • How might a few photons promote healing?
The varying wavelengths from the laser light device tap into basic built-in functions of living things. Since terrestrial life began, organisms have employed specialized proteins or pigments that are activated by only a few wavelengths. Varying the wavelengths increases the likelihood of stimulating relief. Each photon deposits its quantum energy into a single molecule then exists no more. This all takes place in less than a trillionth of a second. Each molecule may be "tuned" to absorb photons of certain wavelengths. Mechanisms You may know that red and infrared wavelengths promote activation of cytochrome c oxidase that leads to improved mitochondrial functioning. However, there are many cells that have multiple "opsins" that may allow the individual cell to "see" colors. The opsins in the skin account for some responses to the varying wavelengths. Depending on where and why there is pain in a target area will determine which variation of light is used. Consider the variations like controlled chaos that redirects the healing system's attention to prompt a restart or acceleration of healing. The intensity of the beam (photons per second) from the devices at Chromatic Wellness Center are usually less than that of the same wavelengths in direct sunlight. Thus, the therapy remains within the ordinary sensing range of the skin, and contains no harmful rays. The body heals itself. We don't always know exactly how that might work, but we know we can target healing by tuning responses to a certain frequency, like finding a smooth radio station.
  • How does the therapy work?
The short answer: The body heals itself; the therapy prompts a restart. Like playing a tune, the therapy directs the body's attention to the beam location. The healing systems select the wavelengths that they need as the Varichrome Pro varies the wavelength during therapy. The photons stimulate the skin with ever-changing signals that is the "context" of the therapy. The changing context is like how a multilingual speaker changes languages to match the other person. This only works for languages that are fluent. The speaker can't switch to a not yet learned language. Called contextual sensorimotor adaption, the body can switch the maps back to an earlier state. Optimally, the therapy prompts the return to normal functioning. The context includes touch, vision, and hearing. For a "frozen" shoulder, the patient shows the practitioner where their body says "stop". The practitioner applies the therapy while the patient raises their arm to gently test the stop spot. When the spot moves, the patient shows the new spot. Repeat until the should thaws and the full range (optimally) of motion resumes. Of course, the patient can passively wait during therapy when testing isn't practical. It's the skin Under appreciated, the skin is a much more than a bag to hold our inside in. Our largest organ "knows" where all of its parts are in space. That information must be regularly updated via our experiences, such as touch and vision. However, like when we sit, the sensations can become ignored. If the sensation remains turned off (aka numb or neuropathy), then energy-based therapies may work like standing up by getting the body's attention that the context has changed. PhotoMed's variable-wavelength therapy may be efficient for that awakening. The varying wavelengths tap into basic built-in functions of living things. Since terrestrial life began, organisms have employed specialized proteins or pigments that are activated by only a few wavelengths. Varying the wavelengths increases the likelihood of stimulating relief.
  • Are there any types of health problems this isn't recommended for?
We do not treat areas that have been diagnosed with cancer. We have had very limited success with auto-immune disorders. Contact us today for a free consultation to see if our treatment is right for you.
  • Would this interfere with a pacemaker or any other type of bodily implant?
No. Our light does not penetrate deep enough into your body to disturb any implants.
  • Is it FDA approved?
Our light is a FDA Class II medical device.

Multiple Mechanisms, One Goal: Heal

Laser light therapy doesn't just aim for one healing pathway. It capitalizes on your body's versatile toolkit, activating multiple mechanisms to encourage accelerated healing. This is what sets it apart from conventional light therapies, which typically rely on just one or a few wavelengths.

Laser Light Therapy Sets the Stage for
Your Body to Heal Itself

Sensorimotor Adaptation:
An Ancient Secret to Modern Healing

Our therapy taps into a universal process called sensorimotor adaptation, which is how living things from single-cell organisms to humans respond to their environment. When we discovered this connection, it revolutionized how we think about healing.

Since its founding, Chromatic Wellness Center has been committed to improving the quality of life for those underserved by conventional methods. Our photobiomodulation is the culmination of years of research and patient feedback, and it continues to challenge and improve existing health models.

The Spectrum of Healing

Laser light therapy ranges from 400 to 3400nm, depending on the treatment. This ensures that your body gets exactly what it needs, where it needs it. Think of it as personalized therapy; your body instinctively picks and chooses what wavelengths it will respond to in order to heal most efficiently.
